    INDUSTRIES WE SERVE

    STANDARD CONESTOGAS

Featuring fully retractable conestogas in the sizes: 48' - 53' x 102" - 104" wide (closed) x 8' tall with a weight limit of 45,000 pounds. All trailers equip with 100% air ride as well as 24/7 GPS satellite tracking.

The Conestoga trailer is one that stands out from the traditional flatbed. While it’s still in the flatbed family because it can be loaded from the front, back, top or sides, the Conestoga comes with a durable sliding tarp system designed to protect freight in transit. This type of trailer is commonly used to carry heavy or sensitive loads that need security and protection from the elements.

    STEPDECK CONESTOGA

Stepdeck Conestoga trailers are a great choice when you need extra height for a shipment without having tarps draped across your commodity. Like the flatbed, this type of trailer is typically 48’ long, though EA Express offers 53' trailer options, and they feature a raised step and lowered deck that allows for hauling taller loads without having to get special permits. The maximum commodity weight for this type of trailer is 48,000 pounds, and maximum freight dimensions are 11’ x 8’6” x 9’ (lwh) on the upper deck and 37’ x 8’6” x 10” (lwh) on the lower deck.

    DOUBLE DROP CONESTOGA

A double drop deck Conestoga trailer carries the tallest loads. A double drop looks like a step deck in the front, but another short deck sits over its rear tires. Between the two short decks runs a long, very low main deck. Dropping below the trailer’s axles, this center deck is called the “well.” The double drop trailer’s deep well and low-profile wheels allow it to carry legal loads with cargo up to 11’6” high. Heavy haul trucking jobs use double drops, too.

    STANDARD FLATBED/STEPDECK TRAILERS

Because it’s so versatile, the standard flatbed/stepdeck trailer is the most commonly used, and it may be the one with which you’re most familiar. These trailers are typically 48’ or 53’ and can carry freight with maximum dimensions of 48’ x 8’6” x 8’6” (lwh) or 53’ x 8’6” x 8’6” (lwh). The maximum weight capacity is 48,000 pounds. Standard flatbed trailers are typically loading dock height (58”), and are used for freight that requires top, side or rear loading. Standard stepdecks have a maximum freight dimensions of 11’ x 8’6” x 9’ (lwh) on the upper deck and 37’ x 8’6” x 10” (lwh) on the lower deck.

    OVER DIMENSIONAL

A double drop deck trailer carries the tallest loads. A double drop looks like a step deck or RGN in the front, but another short deck sits over its rear tires. Most have a “flip axle” to handle the weight of large loads. The flip axle attaches to a trailer’s rear frame with hinge plates and pins. Thus, the axle folds down for heavy loads, and then back up onto the rear deck for storage.

STANDARD 53' DRYVAN W/ AIR RIDE

It's the classic 53' trailer. Most freight is no-touch, drop, hook and go. Maximum weight of 45,000 lbs. All trailers include air ride with gps satellite tracking.
